Solution:

Step 1: Identify the values and write them down.

x = 10

μ = 35

σ = 12

Step 2: Place the values in z-score equation.

Z = (x – μ) / σ

Z = (10 – 35) / 12

Z = -25/12

Z = -2.083

The zscore of -2.083 means that the raw score is below the mean. We can interpret as:
