Behind the scenes[]

Mistakes[]

Overall[]

  • Participating in every activity in the Quidditch quests gives the player house points, including the ones where no professors, Prefects or Head Boy or Girl is present, which is canonically impossible.

Season 1[]

  • In Chapter 1, Penny states that she and Jacob's sibling are in the section of whichever house the player is in, but they are always shown to be in Hufflepuff's section.
  • In Chapter 3, it is stated that no games have been played that year, and in Chapter 8, it is stated that it is the first Quidditch Cup match. However, if the quest is meant to take place after Year 2 Chapter 6 (as Quidditch is specifically unlocked at that point), causes a contradiction, as the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin match is played in Year 2 Chapter 3.
  • If Jacob's sibling becomes a permanent member of a Quidditch team in Year 5 or earlier, it conflicts with the fact that Jacob's sibling has to sneak into the common rooms during Quidditch matches in Year 5 Chapter 21.
  • Andre Egwu and Charlie Weasley are absent for Ravenclaw and Gryffindor players, respectively, despite the fact that both are meant to be on the team starting in the second year (although Andre can be temporarily suspended from the team, this does not happen until years later in the "Poor Sport" side quest). This is a contradiction as specific unidentified characters are shown as the Seeker and Keeper of the player's team, and they are clearly not Charlie and Andre.
    • Even with Andre as the reserve Seeker in the early Quidditch Seasons, the previous Keeper on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team should be Brennan Doyle.
  • The first match is against Hufflepuff (Slytherin for Hufflepuffs). This means that unless there has been an unexplained rescheduling of games, only Ravenclaws play against the correct opponent.
  • In the "Searching for a Comet" time-limited side quest, Ravenclaw players sneak into the Slytherin Common Room and get caught by Professor Snape, which contradicts Gemma Farley's claim that no non-Slytherins had managed to sneak into the Slytherin Common Room in seven centuries.
  • For Gryffindor and Slytherin players, the Gryffindor-Slytherin match is played in Chapter 10 but during the match, Jacob's sibling is supposed to be sneaking into a common room.
  • In Chapter 10, Murphy states that it is the second match of the year, but by that point, there have already been two matches (the player's team against Hufflepuff or Slytherin and the match between the other two teams). As such, it should be the third match of the year.
  • It is possible for Slytherin to win the match against Gryffindor in Chapter 10, which contradicts the information given in the "Slytherin Schemes" side quest, where it is stated that Gryffindor won the match.
  • In Chapter 11, the two petrified students can be seen in Hospital Wing, but they are not supposed to be there until Year 6.
  • In the books, it is stated that Gryffindor won the Quidditch Cup in the 1985–1986 school year, the year during which Quidditch Season 1 is supposed to take place. However, for non-Gryffindor players, it is impossible for Gryffindor to win the Quidditch Cup as either the player's house, Ravenclaw or Slytherin (if the player is in Ravenclaw) wins.
  • In the main story, it is established that the Ravenclaw Quidditch team is stuck in Cursed Ice at the end of Year 2, but this causes a contradiction if Jacob's sibling is a Ravenclaw, as they are not stuck in the ice. In the "THE QUIDDITCH CUP" Achievement quest, Ravenclaw has no trouble participating in the final match, regardless of the player's house.
    • It is possible only reserve players got stuck, as Andre Egwu, one of the individuals known to be stuck in the Cursed Ice, is established to be a reserve player in Quidditch Season 2 Chapter 2.

Season 2[]

  • The achievements "RIVALRY, RESPECT, AND RATH" and "THE SECOND QUIDDITCH CUP" are placed in Year 2. However, since Quidditch Season 1 is set in Year 2 and these achievements take place in Season 2, they should be in Year 3.

Season 3[]

  • Before the friendly against Rath's team in Chapter 1, the Quidditch team of the player's house is shown to have eight members, with the unidentified Chaser appearing twice with different appearances. The second Chaser was later established to be a separate person, but they still played with four Chasers instead of the usual three.
  • In some parts of "THE LEGENDARY SNITCH OF HOGSMEADE" achievement, the two unidentified Chasers' models are swapped.

Season 4[]

  • In some scenes, the Keeper on the player's team has the appearance of the former Keeper.
  • Some players have had inconsistencies with Baglan and Gruffyd Wellnelly's house.
  • For some players, the wrong Quidditch captain is used for Gryffindor (if the player is not in Gryffindor).
