Fresh fruit is one of the best parts about the summertime, there’s nothing like a juicy piece of summer ripe fruit! However, outside of their season, they lack so much flavor and sweetness.

Canned peaches are my favorite go-to because they are such a great addition to sweet treats and especially ice cream. You can find them all year round so you don’t have to wait for peach season to enjoy this homemade peach ice cream.

Made using a can of sweet peaches and half and half, you can make this delicious fruit dessert whenever you want!

If you have a dairy-free diet, I’ve included instructions on how to make this Ninja Creami preach ice cream recipe dairy free and vegan as well!

Recipe ingredients

Peaches. 1 can of peaches with the syrup. This way we don’t need to add any extra sugar or sweetener.

Half and half. Use just enough to get the perfect creamy ice cream consistency.

How to make Ninja Creami peach ice cream

This is a very easy recipe and you will be done with step one in no time. Open the can of peaches, preferably in heavy syrup. You can use peaches without syrup (in fruit juice) if you want your ice cream to be less sweet.

Pour ingredients in to your blender. Heavy cream can be used instead of half and half. Use milk if you want much lighter texture but i don’t recommend it. Blend until smooth.

When its time, place the pint with frozen mixture in to Ninja Creami ice cream maker and push the ice cream button. Once done, most likely you will need to re-spin it once or twice. Ready to enjoy!

Ninja Creami Peach Ice Cream Recipe - The Top Meal (5)

On top of how easy it is to make the best part about this recipe is that it is a wonderful kid-friendly treat. Healthier than traditional ice cream, Ninja Creami ice cream is a fun dessert that you can feel good about serving to your family because of how simple the ingredients are.

Substitutions

Canned peaches – use fresh ripe peaches either blended into a puree or cut into chunks. They have a sweet flavor and will blend up easily in the Ninja Creami. If using frozen peaches, make sure to fully thaw them before using them.

Half and half – Use equal parts milk and light cream, ¾ milk and ¼ heavy whipping cream or your favorite coffee creamer. The creamer will have a thicker texture than milk and give you a creamier ice cream. If you only use milk the ice cream won’t be as creamy and plain heavy cream can cause the ice cream to have a crumbly texture.

The addition of 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract tastes amazing in ice cream.

Add a few tablespoons of softened cream cheese to the ice cream base to make peaches and cream ice cream.

After blending the ice cream add in a few slices of canned peaches and blend using the MIXIN button to make chunky peach ice cream.

To make dairy free: simply use vegan half-and-half, coconut cream, or oat milk instead.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use half and half instead of heavy cream?

Yes! Many Ninja Creami ice cream recipes use heavy cream but you can totally use half and half instead. This lower-fat option blends up really well and the ice cream still tastes delicious.

Why is my ice cream crumbly?

Ninja Creami ice cream can be crumbly after the first spin, simply running it through the respin cycle fixes it!

Can I use frozen fruit?

It isn’t recommended to put frozen fruit in the Ninja Creami ice cream maker. Large pieces of hard fruit can potentially damage the blade of the machine. It’s best to completely defrost them first or use canned or fresh fruit instead.

Can you refreeze ice cream from the Ninja Creami?

The ice cream will taste the best the first time you spin it, but it can be refrozen if needed. It just may not be as creamy as the first time.

How do I get creamier ice cream with the Ninja Creami?

Using the respin function, adding a splash of heavy cream, or softened cream cheese to your ice cream base are great ways to make your Ninja Creami ice cream even creamier.

Leftovers

You can double the recipe and pour the mixture in to two pint size containers. Use one in 24 hours and keep another one for later use. If you have any Ninja Creami peach ice cream leftovers, just smooth the ice cream on top as much as possible, place the lid on the jar and place it in the freezer.

Before enjoying it again, just let sit on the counter for 3-5 minutes to thaw for a bit. You can re-spin it if you feel like it needs it. I always re-spin for a better, creamier texture!
