Here is the God Of War Ragnarök Legendary Chest locations guide where we will help you find all 80 Legendary Chests throughout the game.

Legendary Chests usually contain some very helpful things such as Runic attacks for any of the weapons, Runic Summons, Seed halves enabling you to travel to distant realms with plenty of other useful items along the way making them very important to seek out.

There aren’t any trophies linked directly in to opening Legendary Chests but given the increase in efficiency you receive in combat throughout God Of War Ragnarök I have put a complete guide together for every Legendary Chest in the game to hopefully help you through some of the tougher challenges.

The Legendary Chests can be opened by either Kratos or Atreus as you play through the game with Atreus’ Legendary Chests being unlockable as you play through a given sector in the game when playing as Atreus and aren’t collectible later on.

These Chests won’t contain anything you need to earn The Bear and the Wolf although they can contain some pretty powerful Runic Summons making them well worth your while taking a few minutes to unlock them as you progress through the story.

The Legendary Chests can be found throughout every realm except Sindri’s House.

Collect every Legendary Chest in the game to become incredibly efficient in dealing with the trials and tribulations you will face in the hardest parts of Ragnarök.

There are 13 Legendary Chests in Svartalfheim, most of which you won’t be able to access until you have Draupnir.

The Legendary Chests in Svartalfheim are especially important as they contain 2 Muspelheim Seed Halves which are required to access The Crucible in Muspelheim which you need to enter before you can attempt to work towards Trials By Fire.

In total, there are 12 Legendary Chests you can loot in Alfheim with the majority of them being accessible once you have unlocked Full Gufafor subduing both sand storms in The Barrens as well as The Forbidden Sands.

There are 3 Legendary Chests you can unlock throughout Jötunheim which can only be accessed as Atreus during the main story so if you miss them then it’s a new playthrough or revert back to a previous save if you have one.

Fortunately, none of the rewards in the Legendary Chests in Jötunheim contain anything you need as you progress towards The Bear and the Wolf.

In total, there are 8 Legendary Chests in Midgard, all of which are accessible after you acquire Draupnir.

There are 2 Legendary Chests which can be found and looted in Asgard with them being accessible as you make your way through the realm as Atreus in the story, neither of which contain anything that will prevent you working towards The Bear and the Wolf.

There are 5 Legendary Chests in the realm of the dead, all of which can be accessed as you make your way through the main story.

You will have a fair amount to do before you can loot all 13 Legendary Chests in Freya’s homeland.

First of all, progress through the story to the Creatures of Prophecy main story mission where you rescue Freyr then complete the Scent of Survival Favour which will land you in The Crater.

From here, complete the Return of the River Favour as well unlock Invasive Species and finally collect all artefacts as part of the Spirit Mementos Artefact set which will make every area you need accessible to loot every Legendary Chest in Vanaheim.

In Muspelheim, there is 1 Legendary Chest you can find in the main story at The Burning Cliffs.

There are then an additional 15 Legendary Chests in The Crucible which are deemed as rewards for each time you complete one of the 15 Trials which make up Trials By Fire.

There are, in total, 8 Legendary Chests you can loot in Nflheim, the first is accessible as you play through the story with Atreus. The next 6 can be opened once you have destroyed all 48 Ravens.
