What to do withitems you don’t need?

There are different things you can do with items that you don’t want anymore.

Animal Goods

Sell them. There are just a limited number of side-quests where you actually need toget some animal goods – nothing you can’tobtain again within a few minutes. Some of them actually yield decent amounts of money.

Trinkets

Generally: sell them. Butbeware, there is a trophy calledAssassin's Creed Origins Crafting Materials & Upgrades (20)Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. It requires you to sell 100 unnecessary items at once (only trinkets count, animal goods don’t). So, before you selltrinkets for the first time, make sure that you have more than100 of them. As tempting as it might be to make a quick 1.000 coins or so, save those 100 items and sell them in a batch to get this trophy (make a backup savegame before selling, just in case). Getting 100trinkets will take along time (most likely 20-30 hours),so spendthat time wisely.

Weapons & Shields

There are three things you can do with unwanted weapons:

  • Sell them for money.
Fairly simple – coins for goods. Allblacksmith’s accept your goods.
  • Dismantle them.
When you dismantle old weapons, you get some resources out of them. See above for more information about which weapons usually yield which resources. Weapons of standard rarity (blue) give one resource back, rare items (purple) give two resources and legendary items (gold) give up to three different resources. Your items can be dismantled in the gear-menu with Assassin's Creed Origins Crafting Materials & Upgrades (21) while hovering over the item.
  • Upgrade them at the Blacksmith.
If you have some nice rare or legendary weapons with good effects and want to keep them, although they’re a bit outdated now, there is a good solution. Every Blacksmith in the game can upgrade your beloved items in exchange for money. The upgrades will scale the items to your current level again and cost between 200 and 4.000+ coins, depending on the rarity level of the item and how many levels the item has to be upgraded to reach your current level.
