3 Ingredient Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies- healthy cookies made with sweet ripe bananas, oats and chocolate chips. No sugar, eggs, flour or oil added!
If you enjoy baking with oatmeal, you will love these cookies! They are always a hit, just like my apple oatmeal version.
One of our favorite cookies to make are my 3-Ingredient Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies. They are perfectly crunchy and chewy and so quick and easy to make. However, sometimes I want easy treat AND healthy in the same time. Enter these 3-Ingredient Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies! These cookies are naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar and oil-free. So tasty! If you love oatmeal with bananas and chocolate - you will love these cookies!
These 3-Ingredient Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies are perfect for lunchboxes, great packed for road trips, and make for a satisfying treat without the guilt. They are chewy, naturally sweet and filled with chocolate chips. Make sure to use vegan chocolate to keep them 100% vegan. You can use dried fruit in place of chocolate chips.
Ingredients:
- banana
- oatmeal
- chocolate chips
Instructions:
This is one of the easiest cookie recipes you will make! Simply, mash two bananas, add oats and chocolate chip and stir in. Chill the dough in the fridge while your oven preheats. Bake cookies for 15 to 20 minutes and cool before serving. These cookies do not spread and will bake thick if simply scooped and dropped onto the sheet. I like to flatten them just a bit.
The taste:
These cookies are chewy and thick. The longer you bake them, the more chance the edges will crisp up, especially the mashed banana part. Obviously, they won't have the texture or taste of cookies baked with flour and sugar, so keep that in mind. However, these cookies are very satisfying if you are looking for a sweet-tasting treat that's healthy. You can use different add-ons in place of chocolate chips for more texture.
The base of the recipe is the mashed banana and oats mixture. You can bake it just like that, without the chocolate chips OR you can make lots of variations: dark chocolate chunk, white chocolate and coconut, dried fruit, etc.

I added a quarter cup of peanut butter. My wife, who doesn’t like peanut butter, said she could hardly taste the peanut butter and loved the cookies!

Thank you for this recipe using old-fashioned oats! I made this today with 3 1/2 bananas (2 rather small and 1 regular to lge) and 1 3/4 cup old fashioned oats, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips. We live in an area with heavy humidity in the summer, so I flattened the cookies to about 1/2" thick to bake 15 minutes. The results: a chewy not too sweet treat with a hint of chocolate. The old-fashioned oats worked great although I did not refrigerate but rather left them on the counter to absorb some moisture from the bananas while the oven was heating. My kiddos gave it 5 stars.Reply
